    Viewing usage reports before billing

    Hello again,

I was wondering if there was a way to see the current usage charges for our Nirvanix account, before they show up on our credit card statement. Amazon does this for their S3 and EC2, the charges show up in real time (or almost). Is there any way to see what our current charges are?

    Thank you,

    Razvan

You can go to https://nmp.nirvanix.com/accountStatus.aspx.  The account status page has the ability to generate CSV reports or you can view the usage via the flash graphs for each subset of the system that was used.

If you wish to get the usage through an API call you can call GetAccountUsage which will return the usage for a specific account.  This can be used on the master account as well but will only return the usage for one application.  If you have multiple applications you will need to log in to each one with the master account and aggregate the usage from each app.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you Barry. Is there any way to get the actual cost (in dollars)? Or do I have to do the multiplication/addition based on the CSV? It would help to have the total monthly cost so far in a separate page that you can quickly take a look at and see what your charges are going to be.

Currently we haven't made this functionality available but we have been discussing it for some time.  I will be sure to tell the team of your request for a future release.
