Hello again,
I am currently investigating the use of Nirvanix or S3 for an application that would require the upload of relatively small (under 50k) files, every 5-60 seconds. If my calculations are correct, Nirvanix currently has the better option for this since it has no per-transaction fee, it only charges for data in/out.
The question is: are there any guarantees that this model will be kept? We plan to deploy to about 100 embedded systems that will be very hard to upgrade once deployed, so we have to make sure that we're not hit with a pricing change 2 months from now, making the system considerably more expensive. This is what happened to S3 when they changed their pricing model and while I understood their reasons for this I totally hated the short notice and the fact that they broke a lot of business models that they knew people were using on their network.
Thank you,
Razvan
