US vs "world" storage pricing - how do I select which one?

    Hi everyone,

I've just signed up for Nirvanix and I'm a bit confused with regard to the pricing for storage. The website says

Intelligent storage throughout the SDN – $0.23/GB

but right below that it mentions

Default storage configuration locked to US node – $0.18/GB

What exactly does this mean? Can I tell the storage network where I want my data stored? How do I lock it to the US node (and what would be the downsides of that, other than lower performance for non-US users)?

Thank you and sorry if this has been asked/answered before.

    Hello Razvan,

Storage defaults to the Storage Delivery Network (global). If you would like to lock your content to the US just send a note to customersupport@nirvanix.com. It's a DB change on our end.
