    Search and FileType

    How is the FileType of the files returned by SearchFileSystem and SearchMetadata determined? Is it pulled from the file, or just based on the extension?

    If determined by extension, it would be helpful to have a list posted somewhere showing which extensions are being mapped to which type. Also, if not recognized, are files given the "Unassigned" file type?

    The extension is used, the table below lists them. These are relatively easy to add or modify should you need a different extension added. 

    If the extension is not found in the list below it will return Unassigned.

    The list is pretty comprehensive, nice job. The only major additions that I can see at a glance are the new Office 2007 file extensions (docx, xlsx, etc).
